How to Renew Your Strength - Hasah 10/04/2009
Lately, I find myself in a season of training and listening instead of teaching and preaching. It is a time to "hasah"- or rest - in the Lord. "Hasah" is a Hebrew word which means "to rest" or "take refuge" and you can reference it in Isaiah 30:15. King James Version: For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength New International Version: This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" So, here, we see two actions that will beget an end result. Repentence + Rest ---------> Salvation ...and another two actions that will beget another end result. Quietness + Trust ----------> Strength Let us rejoice in the Lord, for His Words are living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. We can trust that if we act on these words, we will receive the results we seek. What I love about Him is that, even though we make mistakes, His Grace is sufficient. We don't have to worry about what others may think of us. First, we don't answer to the people in this world. We are commanded to love them, but we are not commanded to seek their approval or acceptance. We are to seek the approval of the Lord. And when we mess up, we don't have to worry about Him disowning us. We can go to Him and repent. We can go to Him quietly, trusting that He will renew our strength. Resting in His salvation. Did anyone on this earth die for you? So how can they save you? Jesus Christ died for us. And then He rose! He beat death! Now who else on this earth has done that? So that is why I know that when I go to the Lord, I can rest in His Salvation, for He is the only one that died for me, and then rose again. He alone is worthy of our praise, worthy of acceptance, worthy of our obedience. As I scribe these words, there is renewal, there is restoration in my spirit. For I know that the Lord is faithful, and His redemptive power is unmatched. I can "hasah" during this season, I can quiet my spirit and listen to His instruction, His revelation. You can as well. I pray you make the choice to seek the Lord to renew your strength. I pray you make the choice to let His loving grace shine upon you and lift you up over the heads of your enemies. The Lord is the everlasting God the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Those who hope in the Lord wil renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, They will run and not grow weary, They will walk and not be faint. Scripture meditation Isaiah 30:15 Isaiah 40:28-31 Soaking in His Glory... 09/21/2009
This past weekend was terrific because Matt Sorger and Dr. Cindy Trimm came to our city. I have followed and admired both of their ministries for a couple of years now, so to have both here was a special treat. Needless to say, Pappa showed up and gave His people fresh fire, fresh anointing. On Sunday, Dr. Trimm stood me up in the middle of the aisle and threw one of those covering blankets at my stomach (she is famous for doing that- the anointing is released from her that way for some reason). Well, the next thing I know, I'm on the ground and just soaking in Pappa's sweet, sweet presence. Ohhhh... I just love Him so much. If you just knew how real He is... how good He is... how He wants to love on us, and spend time with us. It feels so good to have His glory consuming the atmosphere. There's no other place I'd rather be. The IHOP here in this city just confirmed that Kimberly & Alberto Rivera will be here in October. I had never heard of them until today. Well, I listened to some of their soaking, prophetic music and it immediately ushered in God's glory in my home. I am adding one of their videos here for your soaking pleasure as well. Be blessed.. I pray your spiritual journey is going well... and please keep me and this ministry up in your prayers. Love, Keisha Dawn Set Your Face like Flint... 09/12/2009
What I am finding in this journey is that right before the breakthrough, there is such pushback, there seems to be setback but we have to push forward. We have to be stronger than the dark forces. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. So if He that is in us is greater than the darkness in this world, we do not set our eyes on our present situations. We do not set our eyes on the battle before us. The battle belongs to the Lord! He shall fight for us and we shall hold our peace. So when you run across someone in darkness that is trying to stand in your way, hit them with a love bomb! Love conquers all. Don't let that gunk that's on them hop on you. You love them out of that gunk. You love them anyway. For those of us who call ourselves Christians, we need to be sure that we not only love Christ, but we love our enemies. It is easy to love others who like us, who support us and who honor us. But I tell you what, those folks who are jealous, who are competitive, who have nothing to do but figure out how to make you miserable too? Is that a challenge to love them or what? But I say unto you this- if you lack love, ask the Lord to enlarge your vessel, to pour out more of His love into you so that your cup runs over and everywhere you go, people feel His glory surrounding you. They will get consumed with His love as it pours out of you. We do not have the capacity to love others in our own strength that do us wrong. No, the world wants to war against our enemies. The world wants to fight back and retaliate. This is not the right way. This is the world's way. We are greater than this world. We are put here to establish and expand God's Kingdom throughout the land. So when those ancient gates rise up and you enter in, be sure you have on the Armor of God. Be sure your face is set like flint. Because you will need a strength beyond your capacity, you will need a love beyond human capability, you will need wisdom and direction straight from Poppa. You will need to stay in the Holy of Holies and drink of Him and eat of Him. Consume yourself in His presence, consume yourself in His love. Then, and only then, can you finish your Kingdom assignments. I speak a greater love over all that read this! I speak a greater faith among God's people. I speak a revival to hit this dry, barren land. Consume us with your glory, Lord! We welcome you, for it is not by might, nor by power but by Your spirit. Whatever we ask, if we ask according to God's Will and in the name of Jesus Christ we will receive it. So I say again, set your face like flint and know that Poppa is true to His word. You keep your eyes on Him at all times. Ten thousand may come against you but they will fall, they will not harm you, they will not come near your tent. You rest in the Lord's power, in His strength, and set your face like flint, so when you bring your slingshot back and aim at your Golaith, you know he is going to fall down. You speak to your mountains and with faith, tell them to move. Scripture Meditation 1 John 4: 4 1 John 4:7-21 1 John 5 Psalm 91 Grace and peace upon you... Well, after months of birthing this vision, I received a prophetic Word and scriptures from a dear Pastor and President of a Christian college this past week. You know, Pappa is so amazing. I am sure you have wonderful testimonies of how He has come through for you as well. Hopefully, I'll get to meet you at one of the cities I'm touring this fall and upcoming spring. We can share testimonies. I will be away for a while on this travel, so if you'll be in one of the cities and you're pursuing a graduate degree in particular, feel free to register (the events are *FREE* and the networking lunch is $20. We do have limited spacing, so if you are unable to attend you'll be missing out... go register now and claim your space and pass the word... (http://www.gradprep.org) And please keep me up in your prayers! There are always a handful that will try to block the Kingdom from advancing, but you and I both know they are not bigger than God! Pappa will have His way. I love Him so much... and I love you... thank you so much for following this blog and I pray you've been edified here. Now, let's connect in person.... I'll see you at one of the events coming up! Love you, Sis Keisha Dawn Lately during prayer time the Lord has been speaking and I've scribed in my personal journal. Sometimes, I am allowed to share with others, other times not. The past two days, the words from Him were accompanied by Psalm 146. I keep reading it over and over and standing on it. Here are words I received and scribed this morning... I pray you are blessed by these words... Cast down all fear, all anxiety Focus on me, not on you I am greater than any inhibition you have or the way you think others perceive you. How do I view you? This is what counts. If I am pleased with you, you need not worry about this world. Stand on my promises. Ask for more faith in increasing measure. Then receive. Speak my Word into the atmosphere, speak my Word into every situation, every tribulation. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God... that I keep my promises. I am the God of Israel... who was, and is, and is to come. Scripture Meditation: Psalm 146 I feel compelled to write about the subject of Honor at this time for several reasons. We are commanded to honor those in authority, our Mother and Father, our spouses, God's prophets, Israel, etc. However, I have noticed in increasing measure spirits of disrespect, of jealousy/envy, of disregard, of slander and strife... these behaviours are in direct disobedience to God's Word and when we continue to operate in these behaviours we will inevitably eat its fruit. For whatever we sow, we shall also reap. When you sense that negativity is attacking you, see if you had any part of it. If so, ask for forgiveness from the other person. Set the example through love, even if they continue to act negative towards to you. In this economy, when jobs are scarce, be sure to always operate in a spirit of Honor. Honor your employer. Honor yourself by doing the best work possible and do it unto the Lord. Honor others and love your enemies. Sounds cliche', perhaps. However, if you want to see progress in your life and doors open, Honor works. If the Lord has chosen someone to lead a vision, Honor them. Is it wise to disrespect them, argue with them or speak to them in harsh tones... especially if they sign your paycheck? Is it wise to withhold information from them? If your supervisor asks you to do something, do it promptly and with a joyful heart. They will notice your great attitude and you will win favor. Even Nehemiah was wise enough to use Honor to win favor with King Artaxerxes (see Nehemiah Chapter 2). By serving the King and speaking to him with respect ("if it pleases the king...") , Nehemiah won favor and was able to rebuild the city of Judah. I also like the fact that he kept in touch with King Artaxerxes while building and even returned to him. (see Nehemiah Chapter 13:6-7) If you have fallen into negative behaviours, repent to the Lord and ask for forgiveness from those you have dishonored. If your pride gets in the way, you need to renounce it and operate in a spirit of humility. Pride inhibits progress. And if you are a Christian, I am writing this especially to you because the world is looking at us. You need to represent Christ and all that He stands for. And it goes beyond saying you are a Christian. Your behaviour and tone towards others should reflect Christ's behaviour and tone. I speak this unto you in a spirit of love... to God be the glory. If you are offended by this writing, renounce that spirit of offense and receive these words with a soft heart and ears that hear. If you want to be promoted to the next level.. if you want to see progress in your life.. operate in the spirit of Honor towards others... you will see doors open, favor, promotions and people will speak highly of you. For those that receive these words in their spirit and choose to honor others, I speak progress and promotion over you, in Jesus name. Grace and peace upon you, Sis Keisha Dawn Scripture Meditation: Colossians Chapter 3 1 Thessalonians 4:11 Proverbs 23:22-25 Proverbs 18:12 Proverbs 15:31-33 Proverbs 16:20 Proverbs 13:10 Proverbs 13:13 This is such a powerful testimony... I pray you are touched by this as well. Please wait a few seconds for the video to begin once you click play. Blessings, Sis K.D. I am going to include a series in this blog moving forward for the intellectuals and the skeptics out there. Sometimes, I run across these types and short of praying for them and continuing to reflect Christ in my words and actions, there's not too much else I can do because the Bible says the devil blinds them.. they have spiritual scales over their eyes so they can not see. 2 Corinthians 4:4 Living by the Spirit vs. Living by the Flesh 07/13/2009
Well, hello! Finishing up Day 1 of 3 day Fast 07/09/2009
There is spiritual cleansing at the gate. Those in your camp that the Lord has only sent for a season... or those that He has not sent... they will be removed at the gate. |
