Grace and peace upon you...
I am writing at 2:33am, awakened from what could have been a nightmare but I turned it around by bringing the Lord into the dream and it ended well.
Yesterday, I did not spend a long time in prayer and the rest of the day just didn't feel the same.
Having our "daily bread" in the physical realm is very important. If we don't eat, we become irritable, we are unable to focus, and worse case scenario we will die from malnutrition.
This, my friends, is the same in the spiritual realm.
If we don't eat God's Word, edifying our spirits, we fall prey to our fleshly nature, we lack peace and our spirit is malnourished.
In the New Testament, John chapter 15 talks about Abiding in His Vine. Metaphorically, we are all like branches and we need Jesus Christ- our vine- in order to flourish and bear fruit.
My dearest brothers and sisters in Christ, let me exhort you to continue to draw deeper into the Lord. Edify your spirit with His Word. Spend time in prayer with Him to also listen to what He has to say to you (yes- He talks back in various ways). Find a good spirit-filled church fellowship (ask Him and He will lead you). Praise and worship Him. These will all strengthen your spirit and your relationship with Him as you abide in His Vine.
May your day be full of peace and fruitfulness for Kingdom Everlasting.
