Agape Love Works

Grace and Peace upon the Agape Love Works Ministries Prayer Network,

I pray this note reaches you well and in good spirits.

This note is for our group's spiritual preparation for 2010.

The first chapter of Joshua talks about moving forward and possessing land...
taking over territory through the Lord's leading and encouragement.

There is a phrase that the Lord said several times within this chapter
to Joshua. He said "Be strong and of good courage" in the following
verses:

Joshua 1:6
Joshua 1:7
Joshua 1:9
Joshua 1:18

So I pray this note encourages you to meditate on the first chapter of
Joshua to spiritually prepare you for 2010 as well. Sometimes we are
gripped with fear about what's on the other side of the wall... the land
we are to enter is foreign... a land we are not use to... and we forget
that we are sons and daughters of the Most High. I pray His Word
reminds us to move forward according to His Will, His Way... to move
forward and take over land for Him... land the Lord our God
is giving us for our own (see verse 11).

So, be strong and of good courage!

Lately, I find myself in a season of training and listening instead of teaching and preaching. It is a time to "hasah"- or rest - in the Lord. "Hasah" is a Hebrew word which means "to rest" or "take refuge" and you can reference it in Isaiah 30:15.

King James Version:
For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength

New International Version:
This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength"

So, here, we see two actions that will beget an end result.
Repentence + Rest ---------> Salvation

...and another two actions that will beget another end result.
Quietness + Trust  ----------> Strength

Let us rejoice in the Lord, for His Words are living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. We can trust that if we act on these words, we will receive the results we seek.

What I love about Him is that, even though we make mistakes, His Grace is sufficient. We don't have to worry about what others may think of us. First, we don't answer to the people in this world. We are commanded to love them, but we are not commanded to seek their approval or acceptance. We are to seek the approval of the Lord. And when we mess up, we don't have to worry about Him disowning us. We can go to Him and repent. We can go to Him quietly, trusting that He will renew our strength. Resting in His salvation.

Did anyone on this earth die for you? So how can they save you?
Jesus Christ died for us. And then He rose! He beat death! Now who else on this earth has done that? So that is why I know that when I go to the Lord, I can rest in His Salvation, for He is the only one that died for me, and then rose again. He alone is worthy of our praise, worthy of acceptance, worthy of our obedience.

As I scribe these words, there is renewal, there is restoration in my spirit. For I know that the Lord is faithful, and His redemptive power is unmatched. I can "hasah" during this season, I can quiet my spirit and listen to His instruction, His revelation. You can as well.

I pray you make the choice to seek the Lord to renew your strength.
I pray you make the choice to let His loving grace shine upon you and lift you up over the heads of your enemies.

The Lord is the everlasting God
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Those who hope in the Lord
wil renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles,
They will run and not grow weary,
They will walk and not be faint.

Do you ever get a surge of strength and then burn out?

The other day, I received this information from Dr. Cindy Trimm's ministry. She is a powerhouse for the Lord- looking forward to meeting her and receiving impartation of her anointing.  For those of you who have yet to see the level she is on spiritually, I have included a YouTube video of God working through her at the end of this note.

One of her books is called Commanding Your Morning and it is definitely on my "to-read" list. Here is an excerpt from her newsletter this week:

"Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
Psalm 90:12

Your future comes one day at a time-it is God's present to you. How you use it is your gift to Him. Time Management is the art of making every moment of every day count.  You should not just spend time but invest in time by ensuring that every action, every thought you think and word you speak, is in alignment with the word of God.

You have been given the opportunity to create a masterpiece of your life. Ephesians 5:15-17 (amp) gives us a foundational key regarding this very principle:
Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.

On a daily basis, God gives us opportunities to advance His Kingdom.  The key to making the most of every opportunity is to grasp firmly the will of the Lord. This is why it is vitally important to renew your mind continually with the Word of God. You must daily align your thoughts and words with God's. Jesus gave us a fundamental key to successfully commanding our every situation when He told us in John 15:7, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." This is why God instructs us to meditate on "the Word of God, which is effectually at work in you who believe [exercising its superhuman power in those who adhere to and trust in and rely on it]" (1 Thess. 2:13, amp). God's Word is life and health to those who find it. (See Proverbs 4:20-22.)

In Psalm 90:12, Moses made this request: "Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom."Ordering your day requires the ability to prioritize. It requires the ability to discern what is distracting busywork and what is Kingdom business. Effective time management requires getting God's heart on what is worth "investing" time in versus what we should not be "spending" or even "wasting" time on. As with any financial investment, you must ask what kind of return your time investments are yielding. Time "spent" is a cost-and you must be mindful of the benefit you are exchanging for the cost you are incurring.

God provided the ultimate example of effective time management and order in the Book of Genesis. In six days He created the earth and everything in it, and on the seventh day He rested. It all went according to plan. There was an order to when, and how He created what and when-a succession and progression to how He developed each organism and species. God did not waste His resources, especially His time. He was purposeful and concise as He unfolded life on our planet.

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR DAY!

Do not miss out on the rewards of well-managed time. Order is what gives you the freedom to be creative. Order gives you the peace of mind you need to tune into God's supernatural frequencies and tap into divine inspiration. Without order you will be distracted with the cares and concerns of this life so that you cannot still your mind to hear God's voice. It is impossible to imagine and envision when you are overextended and stressed. You need to schedule time to purposefully paint the canvas of your life by investing in creative dreaming. Stop to think. Order your day so that you have the time and peace you need to create the masterpiece God has preordained for you.  Make certain that you have scheduled time for praying, meditation, reading the Word of God, praise and worship.  I pray that you will bring order to your day and to your life.

I speak order to your life, ministry, finances, health and all things concerning  you.  I speak that your faith fail not.

Hello! This is Sister Keisha Dawn (K.D.) and I'm emerging out of the "Refiner's Fire" (whew! I'll share some testimonies later), and moving forward spiritually. I, like many others, have been called to be part of the chosen generation to advance the kingdom of God on this earth during these crazy times in our world. One of the places He has placed me is to be a forerunner in higher education. I decided to be obedient to Him for several reasons, one reason being that it's about time that God gets the glory! Let me hear you say "Amen!". Follow my journey and ministry as we move into places of darkness with the power of God to set captives free- in Jesus name!
